- 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2-3 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite)
- Optional: tomato slices, bacon, or ham
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice butter-side down in the pan. Add cheese on top.
- Place second slice on top, butter-side up.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then carefully flip.
- Cook another 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and second side is golden.
- Remove from heat, let cool for 1 minute, slice diagonally, and serve!
